| Situated in the historic heart of Old Town Wanganui, one block from the main street Victoria Avenue, Chronicle Glass Studio and gallery occupies part of a 1912 building that was originally home to the city's newspaper. The former press pit is the perfect studio space where the public can view the glassblowing process then wander up to a mezzanine retail gallery area to browse the stunning pieces on display.
Chronicle Glass Studio is owned and operated by Lyndsay Patterson and Katie Brown and has been in operation since 2005. Katie and Lyndsay use the studio Mon – Fri to make their own work and weekends the facility is used for workshops or accessed by a number of other local glass artists.
Wanganui is recognised as a centre of excellence for the glass arts and Chronicle Glass Studio and Gallery is the ideal shop front for viewing the work of this talented community of artists. Open 7 days during summer, (Mon - Sat during winter) Chronicle Glass Studio and Gallery is definitely a visitor highlight.
